Thermography Information Session at The Guild of Wellness
The Guild of Modern Wellness health collective will host an informative session on thermography, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m, March 24. The event will be led by Jenny Steger of the Longevity Center of Wisconsin.
Steger is certified in digital infrared thermal imaging and has completed advanced clinical thermography training at Duke University Hospital with the American College of Clinical Thermology.
Thermography is a noninvasive diagnostic technique in which a camera or infrared detector senses and records hot and cold areas of the body. Pathological conditions that manifest increased or decreased blood flow present thermographic patterns that can be distinguished from normal areas. Thermograms can detect subtle physiologic changes that accompany breast pathology such as fibrocystic disease, vascular disease, an infection or cancer.
