Mane Revival

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is a good candidate for FoLix™?

FoLix may be appropriate for adult men and women experiencing certain types of hair thinning or hair loss. Early- to mid-stage hair loss is generally expected to respond best.

Not every type of hair loss responds the same way, which is why we begin with a consultation to learn about your hair-loss history and determine whether Mane Revival is an appropriate option for you.

No. FoLix does not transplant hair and does not involve surgery, incisions or grafting. Instead, it uses fractional laser technology to stimulate the scalp and existing hair follicles.

No daily hair-loss medication is required as part of the Mane Revival FoLix program. Some clients may already use medications or other hair-loss treatments prescribed by their healthcare provider. Those decisions remain between you and your medical provider.

FoLix™ is a non-ablative laser treatment, meaning it delivers energy beneath the surface of the scalp without removing the outer layer of skin. Temporary treatment-site reactions can occur. Additional potential risks are outlined in the Safety Information below.

During your consultation, we’ll review your health history, discuss potential risks and contraindications, and determine whether FoLix is appropriate for you.

FoLix requires little to no downtime, and most people can return to their normal activities following treatment.

We’ll provide specific aftercare instructions for your scalp.

Safety Information

FoLix™ is FDA-cleared for improving the appearance of scalp hair in adult men and women with Fitzpatrick skin types I–IV who are seeking treatment for hair loss.

FoLix is not appropriate for everyone. Treatment is contraindicated for certain conditions, including concurrent cancer or a history of skin cancer or precancerous lesions in the treatment area, active infection, chronic fungal or bacterial disease, or chronic dermatological conditions of the scalp.

Possible treatment reactions and risks include redness, swelling, itching, hair shedding, pigmentation changes, changes in skin texture, blistering, fragile skin, burns and scarring.

Before beginning Mane Revival, we will review your health history, scalp condition and other relevant factors to determine whether FoLix™ is appropriate for you.

Individual results vary. No treatment can guarantee a specific degree of hair growth or improvement.
