Our Story
Created by a recover room nurse and a scientist, Crown & Roots reflects more than sixty years of combined expertise, a shared passion for thoughtful design, and a deep respect for both nature and science. It was born from a simple idea:
What if a head spa could be more than a luxury service?
What if it became a place where people could truly slow down, feel cared for, and experience restoration in a thoughtful, intentional way?
The Hearts Behind Crown & Roots

The idea for Crown & Roots began after Trish experienced her first head spa. Loving the experience, she left with one overwhelming thought: people deserve to feel this cared for. She knew that experience belonged at The Guild and created Crown & Roots so others could experience that same level of thoughtful, intentional care.
Thankfully, she didn’t have to build it alone. Beth, founder of B. Divine Aromatherapy and Veritas Aromatics, has been a trusted friend, collaborator, and is part of The Guild family. She’s a scientist and certified aromatherapist whose mission is to offer natural, science-backed solutions that harmonize the mind, body and spirit to enhance your overall quality of life and support your journey toward a healthier, more balanced you.
Together, they’ve spent countless hours researching ingredients, refining formulations, and thoughtfully designing every experience. They believe the products should do more than smell beautiful—they should be crafted with purpose, backed by science, and made with ingredients they’d confidently use on themselves and the people they love.

That’s why Crown & Roots lives at The Guild rather than at a gym, clinic, or med spa. It belongs in a place built around restoration, where guests are never rushed and every detail communicates that they matter. Luxury is certainly part of the experience, but that’s not what defines us. What defines us is craftsmanship, exceptional ingredients, purposeful care, and the belief that every person deserves to feel genuinely cared for.
The name itself reflects that vision. The Crown represents the head—where we carry stress, emotion, and the constant demands of everyday life. The Roots represent the feet—a reminder to become grounded, present, and cared for from head to toe.
